Hoops of Hope: St. Botolph’s Triumphs at Trust Basketball
What an afternoon to remember! The Aletheia Academies Trust Basketball Tournament brought together nine schools, each eager to show their skills and teamwork. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement, and the competition was fierce. The highlight of the evening, however, was the amazing resilience and determination shown by all the players — and, of course, the thrill of securing 1st place for St. Botolph’s!

The teams that participated were:
- St. Botolph’s – 1st Place
- Holy Trinity – 2nd Place
- Halling – 3rd Place
- Saint George’s – 4th Place
- Cliffe Woods – 5th Place
- Stone – 6th Place
- Rosherville – 7th Place
- Shorne – 8th Place
- Sutton – 9th Place
- All Stars – 10th Place
St. Botolph’s showed exceptional teamwork, perseverance, and skill, which ultimately led us to claim the top spot. From the first tip-off to the final buzzer, our players worked tirelessly together, supporting one another, and playing with a focus and determination that paid off in the end. Every dribble, pass, and shot was a testament to the hard work put in during practice and the bond we have built as a team.
A huge congratulations to Holy Trinity and Halling, who secured second and third place with fantastic performances. Their sportsmanship and strategic play were top-notch, and they pushed us to give our absolute best. The competitive spirit among all the teams made the tournament truly exciting and memorable.
The event was about more than just winning; it was about celebrating the core values of the Aletheia Academies Trust Games — resilience, sportsmanship, and the joy of friendly competition. Every player, coach, and supporter contributed to an unforgettable evening, and we are grateful for the experience.
Now, with the basketball tournament behind us, we look forward to the next challenge — Trust Rugby — just around the corner. The same spirit of teamwork and determination will be needed, and we can’t wait to see how the teams come together again for another exciting competition.
